What you'll be doing:

Network & Infrastructure Engineer is a technical role in the Corporate IT team with expertise in creating design/architecture of corporate infrastructure networks and their security. The individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing an organization’s local and wide area networks to ensure maximum uptime and security for users. The role requires leadership of projects to trial/implement new solutions as well as efforts to improve or otherwise optimize the corporate’s networks and infrastructure, working with a team responsible for constant evaluation of technology and business needs, providing a predictable experience with connectivity, mobility, security & privacy, and performance.

 

In this role, you will:

The scope of work covers several domains of infrastructure, including but not limited to the following:

  • Corporate Infrastructure: Servers, Cloud, Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, system/ network integration, Network & Server Monitoring
  • Network: Routers, Switches, VLANs, internet, MPLS, metro-ethernet, VPLS, quality of service (QoS) & load balancer, NAT, OSPF/ EIGRP, BGP, and TACACS
  • Security: Network Firewall, LAN/WAN, inter-office VPN tunnels, remote-access VPN, GRE, IPSec/SSL VPN, Network Access Control (NAC), and IDS/IPS
  • Wireless: Controllers, access points, wireless monitoring, and wireless testing & analysis, wireless optimization
  • Collaboration: Video Conference platforms (Zoom & Meets, including their hardware), Voice/ SIP/PSTN Gateway, and SIP/ H.323 integration.

 

Your responsibilities in this role will:

  • Designing and implementing new corporate network solutions and/or improving the efficiency and security of current architecture.
  • Installing, configuring, and supporting infrastructure equipment including routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, WiFi controllers, etc.
  • Review the network infrastructure specifications and provide technical recommendations to other stakeholders like Procurement and HR
  • Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
  • Maximizing network performance through monitoring platforms and troubleshooting.
  • Arranging scheduled upgrades or patches and investigating incidents in the corporate network
  • Manage the network status reports and insights for key stakeholders
  • Create or modify infrastructure documentation, including logical & physical diagrams.
  • Participate in developing/ modifying policies, procedures, processes, and technical reports associated with operating and maintaining global networks. Perform technical reviews of such documentation.
  • Oversee the creation of the relevant processes and tools
  • Stay up to date with the recent technology developments in the industry
  • Serve as an escalation point for other engineers or peers from other departments to ask technical inquiries or design reviews, and be an active participant in a deep technical discussion.
  • Partner with other departments to develop and implement the required infrastructure.
  • Conduct technical knowledge sharing and regular training sessions
  • Identify business risks, inefficiency, areas of improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.


Who we are looking for:
Must-Have

  • Familiar with various networking vendors, such as Cisco, HP, Aruba, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.
  • Strong knowledge and ability to implement, troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues.
  • Documentation skills and attention to detail for documentation (design documentation, processes/procedures, environment diagrams, etc.)
  • Exposure to and understanding of remote monitoring & management (RMM) tools such as ManageEngine, Solarwind, Cloudwatch, Zabbix, Grafana etc.
  • Creativity in anticipating and solving unprecedented infrastructure & network problems, and in thinking of new ways to bring more insight and value.
  • Proven systematic problem-solving approach and mitigation of hardware & topology failures.

Nice To Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 4 or more years of relevant work experience designing, developing, configuring, implementing, and managing enterprise networks with diverse solutions from multiple vendors.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions/ ideas as appropriate based on data
  • Proven experience in managing long-term projects and complex integration as part of a wider team.
  • Understanding of Project Management practices and tools.
  • Understanding of general business concepts, such as TCO, business continuity, cost saving, opportunity cost, etc
  • Working knowledge of ITSM/ITIL and TOGAF frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Experience in managing long-term projects/milestones with multiple teams
