About the Opportunity:
The KYC Trainer and Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible to review customer KYC cases that have been identified through our onboarding systems for potential money laundering, terrorist financing, Bank Secrecy Act violations and other AML or fraud related. This individual must have prior know-your-customer and sanctions compliance experience.
What Youāll Be Doing:
- Deliver procedures/process, systems, and skill-based training in a classroom or virtual environment.
- Manage the learning environment to ensure desired outcomes are achieved by engaging learners to achieve transfer of learning.
- Evaluate and analyse classroom results, identify gaps, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain end user training materials, exercises, and case studies.
- Keep abreast of business changes and processes to deliver up-to-date and accurate information.
- Coordinate and establish class schedule.
- Ability to learn and teach different or multiple processes
- Complete comprehensive regular quality checks of existing customers and existing Companyās accounts. This may include verifying the procedures adopted to clear sanctions, PEP and adverse media potential matches, reviews of photo IDs, and additional research on customers performed at onboarding stage
- Support the build out of our KYC and AML function, document and maintain procedures and processes to ensure compliance with internal standards and all applicable laws and regulations
- Act as subject matter expert within the KYC group to provide answers, advice and recommendations to KYC analysts based on strong interpretation and application of guidance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly training/quality metrics and progress reports
- Support the regional AML officers in regard to AML and fraud referral cases
- Required to maintain knowledge of EU AML/Fraud related regulations and attend a minimum of five hours of training per year
- Being the contact point for any question arising from KYC Analysts. Ensuring that these requests are followed up and that information is accurate
- Ensure that all legal and customer files/data are maintained in accordance with European Regulations and Group policies
What We Look For In You:
- 3-5 years of KYC/AML experience or previous experience in risk management related activities such as investment compliance or audit will be considered relevant
- Working for a fintech, crypto or financial institution will be considered an asset
- Must be a compelling public speaker and have a great attention to details.
- Proven analytical, research and documentation skills
- Results driven with the ability to influence others to deliver high quality work
