Treasury Operations Senior Analyst - What will you be doing? We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Senior Treasury Operations Analyst to join our team. You will have a proven track record of ownership and leadership in maintaining, optimising, and scaling operational processes, with extensive hands-on experience in Treasury Operations. You will bring 3-5 years of experience working within a Financial Services organisation, specifically in the banking, payments, or fintech space. You will have a deep and practical understanding of payment schemes, and will be highly proficient in managing complex transaction flows across multiple banking partners and networks. You will also demonstrate a strategic and solutions-oriented approach to resolving operational challenges, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and act as a key point of escalation for the team. As part of our Treasury Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and contributing to the scalability, control, and resilience of our financial operations. This role requires someone who is not only comfortable but experienced in operating within a high-growth and dynamic environment, and who is eager to mentor junior team members and drive continuous improvement initiatives within Treasury Operations. This role, and BCB as a whole, is very much cross-functional, you will be comfortable and confident liaising with colleagues across the Group, from Customer Success to Compliance, you treat everyone with respect and work towards the same mission. Key Responsibilities and Duties
Initiating, processing, and verifying payments across multiple schemes, including FPS, Target2, SEPA, SWIFT, Fedwire, and CHAPS, with a focus on process accuracy, efficiency, and exception handling. Ensure all payment instructions are accurate, authorised, and processed within specified deadlines, escalating anomalies proactively and suggesting controls to prevent future errors. Troubleshooting and resolving payment issues in a timely and efficient manner, acting as a point of escalation for junior analysts and taking ownership of complex or high-value cash position movements in line with the Designated Authority Matrix. Monitoring and managing daily cash positions to ensure optimal liquidity, providing insight and commentary to Finance and Treasury stakeholders on material movements and cash forecasts. Performing bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records, proactively identifying root causes and proposing long-term solutions. Working closely with internal teams, including Finance, Operations, and Customer Success, to ensure smooth and efficient workflows, and leading cross-functional initiatives to streamline and enhance treasury-related processes. Liaising with banking partners to address operational queries and maintain strong relationships, serving as a key operational contact and helping negotiate service-level expectations where appropriate. Assist in collecting accounts receivable, ensuring timely follow-ups on outstanding payments.. Ensure all treasury activities comply with internal policies and external regulations, taking a proactive role in enhancing controls and recommending updates to procedures as regulatory landscapes evolve. Support audits by providing accurate documentation and timely responses to queries, and take a lead role in preparing audit packs and improving documentation standards for Treasury Operations. Drive improvements in Treasury Management System (TMS) usage and automation by identifying inefficiencies, documenting business requirements, and supporting system enhancements or integrations. Contribute to the design and implementation of Treasury KPIs and dashboards, providing insight into operational performance and identifying opportunities for optimisation. Act as a role model within the team by coaching and mentoring junior colleagues, contributing to knowledge sharing, and helping to embed a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. Executing and confirming inter-company foreign exchange (FX) transactions to support group treasury requirements, ensuring accurate settlement and timely reflection in the relevant ledgers.
So, what are we looking for?
3-5 years of hands-on experience in banking, payments, fintech, or broader financial services, with a strong focus on Treasury Operations, cash management, and payment processing. Advanced knowledge and practical use of Treasury Management Systems (TMS), ERP platforms, and reconciliation tools, with the ability to optimise workflows and contribute to system enhancements. Demonstrated experience in executing and overseeing international and high-value payments, including multi-currency and inter-company FX transactions. Must be an analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to drive process improvements, implement controls, and plan/lead operational initiatives. Clear and professional communication, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with stakeholders of varying seniority, including banking partners and cross-functional leadership teams. You should be adaptable and comfortable with change and demonstrate the flexibility to step beyond your day-to-day responsibilities to support the wider team and BCB. A deep interest in treasury operations and a proactive, growth mindset – with the confidence to take initiative, challenge inefficiencies, and share knowledge across the team. Prior exposure to fintech/banking or crypto-related treasury operations, with the ability to operate in a regulated, high-growth environment and respond to evolving operational requirements.
