  • Partner closely with colleagues in regulatory, compliance, communications, and product teams to align policy strategy with business priorities.

  • Provide timely updates and clear analysis to relevant internal teams and senior leaders as policy and regulatory developments emerge, ensuring business stakeholders stay informed on potential impacts to Kraken’s operations.

  • Support the broader Americas team on cross-border issues, regional initiatives, and priority projects as needed.

  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills you should HODL

  • 7+ years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or regulatory engagement. This experience is ideally within financial services with a mix of traditional finance and crypto currency.

  • Experience engaging with Canadian policymakers and regulators, with strong knowledge of Canada’s financial services and digital asset regulatory landscape.

  • Passion for the cryptocurrency world and a learning mindset about new crypto industry trends.

  • Proficient in drafting policy documents and clearly articulating complex topics about digital assets to varied audiences.

  • A strong personal network within Canadian government and regulatory bodies and relevant associations is a plus.

  • Ability to build meaningful partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders across all levels and backgrounds.

  • Willingness to travel to represent Kraken at events and conferences representing up to 10% of time.

  • Based in Canada and fluent in English (French is a plus).

Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
