About the Opportunity The Data team at OKX is responsible for the end-to-end management of data across the entire OKG ecosystem. This includes everything from technical selection, architecture design, and data ingestion to storage, ETL processes, data visualization, business intelligence, and data science. Our team is composed of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, and we take full ownership of the data lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration and management of data across all stages—from ingestion to ETL, warehousing, and services. As a Data Engineer on the team, you will collaborate with colleagues to harness cutting-edge data technologies, enabling data-driven decision-making and enhancing the quality of OKX’s products and services. Additionally, working in the risk domain, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in risk behavior analysis and contribute to the development of risk strategies and models. What You’ll Be Doing

You will be responsible for designing and building offline data warehouses, including the ODS, DWD, DWS, and ADS layers, across both Alicloud and AWS platforms.

You will develop and manage real-time data warehouses, leveraging tools such as Flink, Hologress, and Aurora to build resilient, efficient, and scalable real-time data pipelines.

You will oversee the creation and optimization of risk datamarts, focusing on writing efficient, resource-friendly, and maintainable code.

You will ensure the integrity and scalability of data systems by enforcing data standards, improving data validation processes, and enhancing monitoring procedures to proactively identify and resolve issues.

What We Look For In You

Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record in building and optimizing data pipelines.

Strong proficiency with data processing tools such as Apache Spark and Apache Flink.

Extensive experience in developing both batch and streaming data pipelines.

In-depth expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, including advanced skills in performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Advanced proficiency in SQL, with familiarity in FlinkSQL features, such as window functions, aggregate functions, and the creation of scalar functions and user-defined functions.

Knowledge of and experience with AWS Data Pipeline and related tools.

Strong programming skills in Hive-SQL, Python, Java, and Apache Spark.

A self-motivated, innovative team player with excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.

Nice to Haves

Fluent in both English and Mandarin, with strong written and spoken proficiency in both languages preferred.

Familiar with Alicloud Data Engineering process

Risk related job experience, payment industry and payment risk are best

Familiar with DevOps tools such as Git, Docker, k8s

Okcoin Statement: The salary range for this position is $126,713 to $238,518. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
