Mavenâs Risk teamis innovating the way we control and monitor the trading activities across the firm. Weâre a team balanced with Risk experts andDevelopers, anddeploy new systems regularly to partner with the business.
You will be responsible for the day-day oversight of risk for our Digital Assets business. This means working with colleagues in Trading, Technology, Operations, Compliance, HR, Finance and Legal to identify and mitigate market and operational risks proactively.
WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO DO:
- Build out appropriate risk controls for our Digital Assets business.
- Continual questioning of our market and operational risk culture; is it holistic, does it suit our evolving business?
- Work closely with risk team colleagues across the global team to educate and share knowledge on DA products and trading strategies.
- Ongoing enhancement of our risk tools working with colleagues in risk and tech to enable this.
- Perform investigations into operational risk incidents noted in the incident register
- Work with all business functions to produce relevant regulatory reporting metrics
- Assisting Global Head of Risk in preparing for monthly Risk Committee
- Administration of systems and exchange limits and ensuring that all systems have the correct limits to cover our operational risk
- Ad hoc deep dive risk projects
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
- Experience and Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience risk managing digital assets trading strategies covering CeFi and DeFi strategies and NFTs
- Familiarity with complex execution trading systems
- Coding expertise (Python, SQL)
- Demonstrable communication skills with stakeholders at different levels of the business
- Keen eye for detail
- Report writing and presentation skills
- Calm under pressure
