About the role
As part of the DeFi team at Sei, you will lead our efforts to obtain and drive meaningful DeFi partnerships and opportunities for a thriving ecosystem. This outbound position requires deep industry knowledge about DeFi trends and the ability to forge significant partnerships.
Responsibilities
Create and pursue top of funnel approaches to finding DeFi projects and founders (present and upcoming)
Narrative building and sharing the vision for Sei DeFi with prospective founders
Ensure DeFi teams find success in the Sei Ecosystem (TVL, user metrics, retention, and differentiating factors from other ecosystems)
Develop and share tailored launch plans for founders ready to start building on Sei.
Work with new partners to engage in GTM community building
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year in a DeFi focused business development, partnerships, or strategy role within the DeFi intelligence industry; experience with web3 or blockchain technology is a strong plus
Prior VC experience, particularly in DeFi
Deep understanding crypto market dynamics, how to work with DeFi teams, and resources required for a smooth GTM and onboarding
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Robust network within the crypto space, especially in the DeFi sector
Excellent leadership and communication abilities
