Kava Labs is hiring for a Director of Product who will be responsible for product research, development, and communicating cross-functionally to deliver products on time and within project scope. This is a US-based, full-time, remote position.

We are a 100% distributed workforce with teams in the US, Asia-Pacific, and Europe. While distributed, you will work alongside a team of world class crypto experts on an open-source project that transfers millions of dollars in assets daily, providing the financial primitives for the next evolution in crypto.

What You Will Do.

• Plan and execute Product roadmaps and production strategy in line with Kava’s objectives and growth trajectory
• Conceptualize new products and oversee product research (e.g., leading, launching, aggregating, and analyzing product development in our Defi space)
• Lead go-to-market (GTM) strategy for multiple products, producing compelling product narratives
• Proactively partner with technical teams from product development to launch. Own cross-functional communication between department heads, disseminating timelines and rollouts to appropriate teams

Who You Are.

• You understand the development process of a product end-to-end
• You exhibit a high level of autonomy in ambiguous environments and are comfortable establishing and executing upon priorities with a strong sense of urgency.
• Comfortable working in a high-stakes, agile environment.
• Able to adapt and adjust in a fast-paced changing digital environment is a must.

How You Will Succeed.

• 6+ years as a product manager: researching, designing and implementing a product or products
• 2+ years overseeing a Product org
• Exercises creativity and active listening and adapting to a constantly evolving space
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in Crypto/Defi space
