Chainalysis is the market leader in blockchain analytics. Our data platform and analytical capabilities are the foundation for our leading crypto investigation, transaction monitoring and market intelligence products. These products are used daily by the most important government agencies, largest crypto exchanges, NFT platforms and DeFi protocols. We are just getting started and we are looking for talented Product Managers to grow the crypto ecosystem and build foundational cryptocurrency software for our customers.
In one year you’ll know you were successful if...
- You would have done in-depth customer research and deeply understood our customers’ problems and have translated these pain-points into a comprehensive product strategy
- You would have taken an initiative amidst an often ambiguous environment to drive progress on a complex customer problem
- You would have worked with developers and designers to build, develop, and execute on a product roadmap, defining and prioritizing features and requirements
- You have set clear OKRs for the team, received buy-in from your stakeholders and started delivering against those OKRs. You understand the controllable inputs into the team’s OKRs.
- You have successfully presented long-term plans to senior leadership and got their buy-in to execute on a long-term plan.
- You have created frameworks for prioritization between various customer requests, GTM requirements and technical needs.
- You have established build-measure-learn loops, and experimentation in product
A background like this helps:
- Pursuing an MBA degree with a graduation timeline between May 2022-June 2022.
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience (ideally in building software products either as a PM or engineer or similar role).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to bridge gaps and collaborate across design, engineering, marketing, sales, customer support, and users.
- Proven record of solving complex problems and delivering business results from start to finish by making decisions based on data and intuition to push projects to completion. Excellent prioritization skills still delivering timely results.
- A Just Do It attitude and ability to move with urgency and customer obsession.
- An ownership mindset - acts and makes decisions on behalf of the company, not just the team. Never heard of the words “not my job”.
- Ability to work effectively with sales team and customer success teams to communicate a product’s value to a diverse set of clients
The following would differentiate you:
- Experience in the crypto industry and/or understanding of blockchain data.
- Experience in building software products.
- Deep analytical expertise and experience in building data products or products with a data component.
- You have a technical background.
How do I get a job at DeFi?
Getting a job in the DeFi (decentralized finance) industry can be a competitive process, but there are a few steps you can take to increase your chances of finding a job in this field:
- Build up your skills and knowledge: To work in DeFi, you'll likely need to have a strong understanding of blockchain technology, as well as other related technologies such as smart contracts and cryptocurrency. Consider taking online courses or earning a degree in a relevant field to build up your skills and knowledge.
- Network with industry professionals: Attend meetups and conferences related to DeFi and make connections with professionals in the industry. Networking can be a valuable way to learn about job openings and get your foot in the door at a DeFi company.
- Create a strong online presence: Many DeFi companies will look at your online presence (such as your LinkedIn profile and personal website) when considering you for a job. Make sure to showcase your skills and accomplishments online and keep your profile up to date.
- Apply for relevant job openings: Keep an eye out for job openings at DeFi companies and apply for positions that align with your skills and experience. Apply for DeFi Jobs without Experience. Tailor your resume and cover letter to the specific job you're applying for and highlight any relevant experience or skills you have.
- Consider internships or volunteer work: DeFi Internships or volunteer work can be a great way to get your foot in the door and gain valuable experience in the DeFi industry. Many companies also offer internships to students, so consider applying for an internship if you're still in school.
- Be persistent: keep trying if you don't get a job right away. It can take time to find the right opportunity, but with the right skills and determination, you can land a job in the DeFi industry.
