Engineering Manager DevOps

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented and experienced DevOps Manager with a desire to work in the blockchain and crypto industry to manage and grow our DevOps team. Our platform and approach is cutting edge and unique to the crypto industry. There will be massive opportunities to learn new technologies and skillset all while bringing your expertise in DevOps, sre and immutable infrastructure to help shape and execute against our infrastructure roadmap.

This position will have a mix of hands on, resource management and strategy responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Scope:

  • Manage and oversee our DevOps team, architecture and cloud infrastructure
  • Act as part time technical project manager to manage DevOps team tasks and timelines
  • Partner with product and engineering to facilitate scaling, security and built out of our cloud infrastructure which runs our products
  • Help analyze and improve our existing approach and infrastructure through partial ownership of technology roadmap
  • Grow, manage, guide and mentor a team of DevOps engineers
  • Create and maintain high quality software documentation and other written assets to document and explain the system design and functionality

Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of DevOps engineering experience
  • 3+ years of managerial experience
  • Experience leading an agile scrum team
  • Demonstrated experience with engineering coaching, mentorship and conflict resolution
  • High comfort in working with Linux environment and typical sysadmin tools
  • Expert understanding of CI/CD, configuration management, cloud platforms, version control, automation, monitoring, analytics, containerization, and microservices architecture
  • Strong experience and understanding of using Agile methodologies to plan, develop, test and deliver software through the value stream. Ability to mentor others in its use.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Familiarity with orchestration systems and containerization, e.g. Kubernetes, Docker
  • Knowledgeable in communication protocols and the OSI model
  • Excellent team working and communication skills
  • Skilled in communicating across the organization to communicate technical solutions and resolve technical problems
  • Data security is your middle name
  • Experience investigating and diagnosing problems with large-scale IT systems
  • Passionate about Blockchain and willing to learn and keep at the forefront of cryptocurrency continually
