As Head of Portfolio Talent, you will play a critical role at the leading blockchain / crypto investment firm, as part of Pantera Capital’s Platform team.

You'll be responsible for leading the effort to support 200+ portfolio teams on the most important Talent / People matters, with a deep focus on the blockchain / crypto / web 3.0 industry .

This includes supporting early-stage founders in building out end-to-end recruitment processes, navigating organization design, evaluating talent across all levels / functions, and pioneering new approaches to web 3.0 talent development and management, e.g., token / equity compensation, DAO structures, open-source software development. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues across the Investment team and broader firm to support our companies’ growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Pantera Talent Network globally across 200+ leading companies / projects in the blockchain / crypto / web 3.0 industry to identify and connect great talent with portfolio opportunities
  • Advise companies on creating and developing high-performance teams
  • Manage a network of recruiting firms to foster a high-quality talent pipeline
  • Serve as the go-to resource for portfolio teams on recruiting, people / HR, and culture
  • Conduct research on best practices in talent, recruiting, and compensation in the blockchain / crypto / web 3.0 ecosystem
  • Advise on organizational design and development, including strategies related to decentralized organizations / DAO’s, open-source ecosystems, and token-enabled protocols / platforms
  • Build and manage a team of recruiting / talent / people experts to execute on a holistic Talent strategy as part of the Pantera Capital platform.

Professional Experience and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of People / Talent experience at early-stage companies, recruiting / executive search firms, venture capital funds, and/or incubators / accelerators
  • Experience working directly with and/or advising CEO’s, founders, and executives on People / Talent strategies
  • Able to draw upon a robust network of talent / people experts, recruiting firms, and company leaders to source best practices and benchmarks in People / Talent management
  • Strong knowledge of approaches to organization scaling, building culture, compensation structures, and talent management across various stages of company-building
  • Strong passion for growing the blockchain / crypto / web 3.0 industry and fostering talent to lead the next generation of world-changing companies, protocols, and DAO’s
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership, follow-through, and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
