About the role
We are looking for an experienced UI developer with 5+ years experience working with a variety of front-end frameworks, prior experience of FinTech environments is a plus.
Successful candidates will have proven commercial experience developing SPAs with React and other frameworks.
You should be enthusiastic about adopting new technologies and approaches and take a methodical and pragmatic approach to solving software problems.
Key responsibilities:
- Solving complex business problems
- Building UI solutions that deliver insight and delight users by making complex data problems simple to understand
- Participate in planning and implementing the technical design of business critical systems
- Excellent HTML5, CSS3 (flexbox, grid) and semantic HTML knowledge.
- In depth understanding of React and vanilla JavaScript (ES6/7+)
- Strong Typescript knowledge and experience
- Experience building real-time, async frontend applications
- Knowledge of modern frontend workflows; webpack, babel, CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with low-latency optimisation techniques and implementations.
- Appreciation and understanding of good UX
- Understanding of how to build distributed micro-frontend applications that scale
- Prior experience developing trading applications and front office workflows
- NodeJS; streaming technologies, understanding of ServiceWorkers and WebWorkers.
- An interest in/good eye for design
