We are looking for HR Generalist to join our People & Operations team. You will help ensure the company runs smoothly. You will be responsible for, and ideally enhance and improve, regular business functions, such as; payroll and employment administration, general HR reporting, immigration tasks, onboarding and offboarding, company policies and practices. You will also support the People & Operations team to foster a positive working environment where everyone is reaching their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare HR documents (work contracts, visa immigration documents, reference letters, etc.)
  • Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including; updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation/sick pay/parental leave, importing expense reimbursements, inputting exceptions, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes
  • Implement and maintain HRIS system on organization level
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies
  • Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements
  • Develop new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole, and to improve employee experience
  • Support planning of the annual company retreat

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of German employment and labour law
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining HRIS system (Personio, Workday, Bamboo HR etc.)
  • Excellent time management skills as you will be working against deadlines, ensuring prompt delivery
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, to create spread sheets, internal presentations, and company handbooks
  • University degree in Business Administration, Psychology, HR or similar is desired
  • Language Requirements: Native German, fluent English.
