What You’ll Do


As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll...

Deliver a reliable platform of shared infrastructure components to host Aineko services.

Design, build and operate shared cloud infrastructure at scale with a focus on automation, observability and shared tooling.

Build next-gen distributed systems that can support multiple planet-scale fleets of cloud resources.

Maintain the highest standards of scalability and reliability for these enterprise-grade systems.

Obsess over engineering efficiency by automating build, test and release cycles.

Collaborate with frontend, backend, open source, and customer success teams to ensure the Aineko platform delivers on its promise of giving data teams super powers.

Set and uphold the standard for engineering processes to support high-quality engineering, including >

Constantly push yourself to master cutting edge technologies so that we remain ahead of the innovation curve.

Requirements and Skills

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or DevOps, preferably within a company with a data infrastructure, developer tool, AI, or cloud platform product.

  • Experience architecting, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems.

  • Comfortable supporting high traffic services and building with scalability in mind.

  • Deep knowledge of distributed system technologies, e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Kafka.

  • Strong knowledge of backend programming languages, such as Python (required), Node.js, Java, Go, or similar.

  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and familiarity with continuous integration and deployment processes.

  • Experienced and comfortable with remote team dynamics, process, and tools (Slack, Zoom, etc.)

  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to engineers with varying levels of expertise

  • You have a track record of creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation and engineering standards

  • You have experience with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum, to facilitate collaboration and ensure timely delivery of high-quality features and improvements

  • You have a proactive and empathetic approach to problem-solving, with a focus on understanding the needs of engineers working with the platform and helping them succeed

  • You have an ability to work well within a culturally diverse and distributed team

  • You’re hungry, smart, talented, and collaborative

  • You’re a self-starter with the attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment

  • You execute with speed, high standards, and contribute new ways of thinking

  • You can show some historical work relevant to the role

  • You can be trusted with highly confidential information and act discreetly
