YOUR PURPOSE

We are recruiting a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Infrastructure Security Engineer to join our team. As an Sr. Infrastructure Security Engineer at Coin Metrics, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and resilience of our infrastructure, systems, and data. You will work closely with our engineering, operations, and security teams to design, implement, and maintain robust security controls and practices.

YOUR VALUE

  • Developing and implementing security strategies, standards, and best practices to protect Coin Metrics' infrastructure and systems.
  • Conducting security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing on our infrastructure and applications to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deploy secure infrastructure solutions and architectures that align with business objectives.
  • Monitoring and investigating security incidents, responding to security alerts, and implementing incident response procedures to minimize the impact of security breaches.
  • Evaluating and recommending security technologies and tools to enhance Coin Metrics' security posture.
  • Implementing and maintaining security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and access controls.
  • Conducting security awareness training and guiding employees on security best practices.
  • Staying up to date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to proactively address potential risks.
  • Collaborating with external auditors and assisting in security audits and compliance initiatives.
  • Participating in the development and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Contributing to the documentation of security policies, procedures, and guidelines.

YOUR EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure security roles, preferably in the fintech or cryptocurrency industry
  • Extensive knowledge of network security, encryption protocols, and cloud security principles.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall technologies, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes and related security best practices.
  • Proficiency in conducting security assessments and vulnerability testing using industry-standard tools.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and knowledge of their security controls.
  • Proven ability to stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

BONUS POINTS:

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or relevant industry certifications.
  • Familiarity with Cloudflare
  • Previous experience with security incident response and forensic analysis.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices.
  • Interest in blockchain technologies.
