About Paxos Todayâs financial infrastructure is archaic, expensive, inefficient and risky â supporting a system that leaves out more people than it lets in. So weâre rebuilding it. Weâre on a mission to open the worldâs financial system to everyone by enabling the instant movement of any asset, any time, in a trustworthy way. For over a decade, weâve built blockchain infrastructure that tokenizes, custodies, trades and settles assets for the worldâs leading financial institutions, like PayPal, Venmo, Mastercard and Interactive Brokers. About the team The Issuance Engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers Paxosâ issuance of tokenized assets. Our engineers are passionate about designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance systems that ensure the seamless creation, management, and transfer of digital assets. About the role As a Senior Software Engineer, Issuance at Paxos, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimizing software solutions that support the issuance of digital assets, including stablecoins and other tokenized financial instruments. You will leverage your expertise in distributed systems and modern software development practices to ensure the scalability, security, and efficiency of our platform.  What youâll doÂ
Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical issuance systems that support tokenized assets across multiple blockchains. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, compliance, and infrastructure to define system architecture and technical requirements. Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our issuance services through best practices in software design, testing, and deployment. Optimize existing issuance infrastructure to enhance performance, reduce latency, and improve operational efficiency. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Stay informed about emerging trends in blockchain, distributed systems, and financial technology to drive innovation within the team. Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making processes.

What does a Java developer in web3 do?
A Java developer in web3 would likely be focused on developing applications that use the Java programming language in the context of the web3 technology stack
Web3 is a collective term used to refer to the next generation of decentralized, blockchain-based technologies that are aimed at creating a more open and secure internet
In this context, a Java developer would be responsible for writing code that interacts with web3 technologies, such as decentralized applications (DApps) and smart contracts, to create new tools and services that run on the blockchain
This could involve working with cutting-edge technologies such as Ethereum, which is a popular blockchain platform that uses the Java programming language, as well as other web3 technologies and frameworks.
