The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Engineering Manager with a strong background in backend development and architecture, coupled with significant experience in building an exchange on Solana blockchain. You will be instrumental in shaping the technical vision and execution of our core platform, leading a talented team of engineers to deliver a robust, scalable, and high-performance trading experience. Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Architecture:

• Lead the design, development, and evolution of Cabbage's backend systems and Solana blockchain integrations, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
• Drive architectural decisions, technical design reviews, and establish best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the Solana ecosystem, including its architecture (Proof of History, Tower BFT, Sealevel), SPL tokens, programs (smart contracts), and common development patterns (e.g., PDAs, CPIs).

Team Management & Development:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented backend and Solana blockchain engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide constructive feedback, and support career development for team members.
• Facilitate agile development processes (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) to ensure efficient execution and timely delivery of features.

Product & Project Execution:

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical specifications and a clear roadmap.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and post-launch maintenance.
• Ensure the platform meets the demands of a high-volume, low-latency trading environment, specifically considering Solana's unique characteristics.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2+ years in an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role.

Strong expertise in Backend Development:

• Proven experience designing, building, and scaling robust, high-performance, and secure backend services (e.g., in Node.js, Python, Go, Rust).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, APIs (REST, GraphQL), and real-time data processing.
• Extensive experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB) and data modeling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes).

Demonstrable experience with Solana Blockchain Development:

• Hands-on experience developing and deploying Solana programs (smart contracts) using Rust and Anchor.
• Solid understanding of Solana's account model, transactions, instructions, and Program Derived Addresses (PDAs).
• Experience with Solana Program Library (SPL) tokens and NFT standards.
• Familiarity with Solana client libraries (e.g., Solana Web3.js, Rust SDK) for interacting with the blockchain.
• Understanding of on-chain security best practices and common vulnerabilities on Solana.
