Genies is looking for a Lighting & Compositing Artist to join our dynamic and creative studio team. In this role, you will build the lighting and look of our Genies Avatars, and their various environments reinforcing the vision of our creative leadership. The ideal candidate thrives in creative, spirited and innovative environments where the consumer experience comes first. You love collaborating and working alongside other creatives, engineers, and product leaders to build a one of a kind experience and product. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Create and design the lighting and the look of characters for shots while meeting the production schedule using Unreal Engine or Maya
- Troubleshoot work in support of lighting projects using various production tools
- Perform creative lighting development setup as required, using lighting and compositing tools
- Optimize setups for rendering
What You Should Have:
- Understanding of building shaders and shader networks, and being able to troubleshoot them
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Understanding of photography and alighting design
- Strong time management skills
- At least 2 years of experience in feature animation, VFX or video games
