Golden is looking for a Discord Community Manager to help us build a great experience for our community. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an early stage startup and build a world changing product.
Our vision is to create a decentralized knowledge graph protocol that maps 10 billion entities and the public knowledge surrounding them. The world is lacking a decentralized graph of canonical knowledge that is open, free, permissionless and incentivizes contributions to the graph.
You will be the first community focused hire and play a key role in building out our engagement strategy. You will provide community support by addressing questions, welcoming new members, and managing ongoing dialog through Discord and other platforms. You will also cultivate relationships with key influencers in the NFT and blockchain world and foster friendships with active members of the community.
We are a globally distributed remote team working in time zones between San Francisco and Prague. Your work will result in a world class product loved by millions of people across the globe.
What You Will Be Doing
- Monitor, moderate and manage community sentiment on Discord and help build a healthy community. Protect the community from bots and other malicious actors.
- Organize and coordinate online community events on Discord and social media channels.
- Develop processes for onboarding new members to the community. Constantly learn, research, and experiment with new community building ideas. Recruit and build a team of moderators as needed.
- Research and recommend new incentive and community-building programs. Engage in governance and feedback on new proposals and voting deadlines.
- Monitor and highlight insights within our community that can be helpful to our product and engineering teams.
- Measure and report on the success of community growth and engagement initiatives with qualitative and quantitative insights.
Qualifications We Need
- Direct experience managing Discord with over 10K members. You are comfortable with and have experience with integration of Discord bots.
- Knowledge and experience detecting and mitigating spam and other online vulnerabilities. You have phenomenal decision-making skills and eye for detail.
- Ability to review sensitive and potentially disturbing content including but not limited to vulgar language, violent or hateful speech, indecent and other graphic images.
- Excellent written and oral communications abilities. You know how to manage large audiences and grow online communities. You have a working knowledge of NFTs, web3, and metaverse space including crypto specific language and meme culture.
- You should be ready to be an active leader in social media for Golden. You have basic graphic design and photo editing skills and the ability to create high quality, branded content.
Bonus Points
- You are active in the crypto community and bring a Twitter following or similar social media presence.
- A fluency in promoting or creating memes, fluency with NFTâs. You desire to work closely with various web3 layers.
- Strong understanding of the evolving nature of Crypto. What worked last month may not be feasible today and that excites you. You know how quickly things move and thrive as a result.
