ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an amazing and unique opportunity for an energetic and highly motivated Technical Project Manager that will have the chance to influence the way projects are executed at LayerZero. With the company transitioning from a startup to a more process-oriented environment, it’s well understood that the efficient execution of projects is a vital component to help the company get to the next level.

ABOUT YOU

Software Program Management Experience:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding and use of soft skills.
• Solid understanding of best practices in project lifecycle methodology and project management principles.
• Expert PM skills in a software development environment for project planning, execution, control and monitoring and reporting/presentation.
• Strong leadership skills working with all levels of the organization.
• Solid technical background that can assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, or requirements working with the relevant stakeholders.
• Ability to build teams and influence at all levels of the organization
• Solid leadership, decision-making, and organization skills.
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
• PM Waterfall Methodology with aspects of Agile.
• Proactive Risk Management skills
• Overseeing project progression, risk management, and resolving roadblocks as required.
• Own, drive and improve daily agile standup meetings with the concentration on proactive exception reporting ensuring that the right projects get the required resources with the goal of meeting objectives and timeframes.
• Tracking baselined project schedules, and resetting program schedules with project owners based on company priorities and events. Manage and escalate as needed.
• Serving as a liaison to senior management to communicate information regarding program changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information.
• Project Management Organizational Awareness is essential for continuous improvement for project execution.
• A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or Program Management or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management in a software development environment.
• Nice to have: Experience in Blockchain industry
• Nice to have: Program Management Certification (PMI PMP, Prince2, etc..)
• Experience usingMonday.com, or any equivalent Project Portfolio Management tool is a plus.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We are looking for an organized, flexible, detail-oriented individual with remarkable communication skills, including soft skills, required to help drive company initiatives working directly with a young and vibrant management and a highly talented engineering team. The responsibilities of the Software Project Manager position includes the overseeing of the company's projects (software and strategic initiatives) working directly with project owners on project status and risk management in accordance to agreed-to timelines. The preparation and execution of daily agile exception-report meetings with Management and Project Owners to highlight program status and help drive action on projects requiring support to meet project objectives/timelines.

To be successful as a Software Project Manager, you should have a solid working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, planning/control & monitoring/ Reporting, excellent communication skills, flexibility and be able to thrive in an exciting fast paced environment in the Blockchain space.

Another key value for this position is a PM that can thrive and be a major contributor for LayerZero in the transformation of a startup organization to a process-orientated environment for project execution. The end goal is that there is continuous effectiveness and efficiency improvements in project execution reporting directly to the CTO.
