As a MEV Engineer Intern at Manifold Capital Partners, you will be part of a small, nimble team that is an integral part of all our firm's activities. You will work with the top MEV Engineers in the space, and will work on all layers of the on-chain protocol stack, from hacking node code to tweaking smart contracts. While performance is a critical aspect of all the software we write, we aim to do so in a way that's maintainable, scalable and cutting edge. Software architecture and clean code are very important to us.
We are looking for talented Golang/Solidity/Rust engineers to join this growing team. You will be responsible for optimization of node components, strategy ideation and implementation and data extraction and analysis. We look for the following technical qualities:
- Strong programming experience with Golang/Solidity/Rust
- Eagerness and willing to learn new technologies and hack in unfamiliar environments
- Good knowledge about on-chain protocols and interactions (preferred, but not required)
- Good knowledge about node code on various chains (preferred, but not required)
What does a Rust developer in web3 do?
A Rust developer in the context of web3 is a programmer who uses the Rust programming language to build applications and tools for the decentralized web, also known as the web3 ecosystem
The specific responsibilities of a Rust developer in web3 may vary depending on the project or organization they are working for, but in general, they would be responsible for writing, testing, and maintaining Rust code that is used to build web3 applications
This could include things like creating smart contracts for decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, building tools for interacting with decentralized storage networks, or developing decentralized applications (dApps) for the web3 ecosystem.
