The Web Platform Group owns the shared platform that enables the stream aligned teams to deliver the ratings, insights, and underlying evidence to our customers. Key responsibilities include:
- Championing high quality clear maintainable code.
- Driving improvements to the developer experience.
- Evaluating and improving existing applications for security, resiliency, and scalability.
- Providing technical leadership to the team through coaching and mentorship.
- Working closely with the DevOps team to improve and optimize our CI/CD processes.
Qualifications:
- Skilled in Javascript or Typescript with deep knowledge of SPA web frameworks.
- Experience running the frontend development lifecycle from planning to monitoring.
- Understanding of service orchestration, observability, and traceability.
- Expertise in web architecture, from CDNs, through server side rendering to API Caching.
- Ability to rapidly pick up new concepts coupled with a drive for continuous learning.
- Team-oriented. You are inspired & motivated by the energy & ideas of teammates.
- Results orientated. You donât want to just write code, you want to make a difference and produce measurable improvements for our customers.
Nice to have:
- Experience with React, WebPack, GitLabs, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience improving front end performance using technologies such as server side rendering, code splitting, lazy loading.
- Experience with middleware frameworks such as Nodejs, Flask, or Django.
- Experience with managing the roll out of new technologies to software developers.
