Job Description

We are looking for a Finance & Strategy Senior Analyst to join us at Block and help scale Cash App and Afterpay's expanding suite of global payment network products. You will work closely with the Sales team and play an essential role driving pricing and strategy as we negotiate with key partners.

You Will

  • Help set pricing across Cash App and Afterpay’s portfolio of payment products to best position the Sales team to successfully close deals
  • Analyze deal terms with strategic partners, advise on in-process negotiations, and propose creative solutions to improve outcomes
  • Provide ad-hoc strategic support including competitive pricing analysis, financial modeling, and performance measurement
  • Construct pricing models and support framework and process development
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional stakeholder group in a fast-paced environment
You Have

Qualifications
  • 2 + years experience in an investment banking, sales analyst, pricing, or finance position
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or other relevant field
  • Excellent financial modeling skills (you should be prepared for an Excel-based case study)
  • Excellent business acumen and communication skills
  • Ability to execute independently and engage with team members of all levels
  • A passion for our mission: making the world's relationship with money more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible

  • Interest or experience in financial technology and payments
  • Experience with (or enthusiasm to learn) SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $125,600 - USD $153,600

Zone B: USD $116,800 - USD $142,800

Zone C: USD $110,500 - USD $135,100

Zone D: USD $100,500 - USD $122,900
