Summary:
The director of ops/strategy strategic and operational leader, supporting the cofounder in driving company-wide planning, cross-functional coordination, and executive-level initiatives. This role focuses on adding structure, managing processes, and ensuring alignment across teams to achieve company goals. The director of ops/strategy will also act as a key representative of the Sentient cofounder, guiding informed decisions, writing on their behalf, and fostering a culture of trust and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution
Lead annual and quarterly planning, ensuring all teams are aligned with strategic goals.
Track and monitor goals/roadmaps to ensure alignment with Sentient mission & strategy.
Facilitate cross-functional coordination, resolving dependencies and bottlenecks.
Collaborate with department heads to drive execution and accountability.
Be a positive force for operational excellence, improving company and cross-functional velocity through collaboration, communication and process.
Executive Support & Communication
Prepare cofounder for strategy, operation and finance meetings, offering market and partner context, data + insights and key talking points.
Represent the cofounder in meetings, ensuring their voice/perspective is accurately reflected.
Draft communications and documents on behalf of the cofounder, maintaining consistency in tone and messaging.
Support the cofounder in making real-time decisions to move projects forward efficiently.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in operations, strategy, business development, investment banking or a similar role, preferably in a high-growth environment
MBA / Investment Banking / Consulting experience is a plus
Strong track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and company-wide planning.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills,
Excellent judgment, decision-making skills, and the ability to build consensus.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Understanding of open source software and artificial intelligence is a plus
