A bit about the role:
Airtime is building the next generation of live, social platforms. We believe in the power of shared experiences and we are creating a fun, personalized and shared space for friends to explore the world together! We’re looking for an exceptional Director of Strategy. In this role, you will help drive business strategy and corporate development. Leveraging your experience in early stage companies and SaaS to help to define our platform growth plans and monetization initiatives while developing our presence and relationships within the industry ecosystem. This role is based in Brooklyn, NY and reports to our Chief Executive Officer.
- Corporate strategy development including business case creation for strategic initiatives, partnerships, and monetization opportunities.
- Own the full cycle of corporate development activities, including opportunity sourcing and evaluation, partnership and deal structuring, due diligence, and integration.
- Conduct industry news and consumer trend monitoring, develop industry forecasts and market analyses.
- Responsible for financial modeling, analysis and budgeting.
- Assist executive leadership in preparing, monitoring and reporting on company goals, metrics and milestones.
- Assist in the development of the business narrative and articulate it at executive briefings and presentations.
- Act as an independent strategic advisor to key business leaders.
- Assist executive team with key presentations, speeches and public facing materials
What we’re looking for
- 6+ years experience at a growth stage technology company, leading consulting firm, technology venture firm and/or a strategic function at a SaaS company.
- Direct experience developing strategy and executing partnerships, mergers, or acquisitions within the enterprise technology, SaaS, media, and/or telecommunications industries.
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and nurture relationships both inside and outside the company.
- Strong financial, analytical and valuation skills, including financial and growth modeling experience, especially related to enterprise and SaaS.
- Passion for consumer social products and experiences
- Understanding of emerging technologies and a passion for new business models including Web 3 and Blockchain.
- Understanding of the SaaS, cloud and media landscape.
- Entrepreneurial experience preferred (demonstrated failure and success a plus), Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Masters in Business or Marketing a bonus.
