Paxful is searching for a "Know your customer" (KYC) Tech Lead - this is a central security concept in financial applications, which means that we should know who the people using Paxful's services are. KYC is composed of various levels of verification - phone, email, ID document and proof of address (POA) - that users would have to go through.
Our tech. stack: PHP 7.3+ (Laravel), Python 3 (Django), React/Typescript, PHPUnit, Postgres / MongoDB, Docker/K8S, Grafana/Prometheus, AWS
As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will entail:
- Design new microservices and build arch on changes going to be introduced in the product working alongside with Engineering Team
- Collaborate with product managers in order to translate business requirements into actionable implementation plan (bi-weekly sprints and releases)
- Write well designed, testable and efficient code on PHP (Python would be plus)
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle (planning, design, implementation, testing, rollout, maintenance & support)
- Provide and be responsible for high product quality by creating new unit, functional, e2e tests, analyzing and improving code & test coverage
- Mentor the team helping engineers to grow and perform
- Perform bi-weekly assessment of engineers

Target Experience:
- 5+ years of the commercial web development using PHP (Python would be plus)
- 2+ years of experience as a Technical Lead / Lead Developer
- Experience with UI development - ReactJS, Typescript
- Experience with microservices development
- Good knowledge of relational databases - PostgreSQL
- Ready to work with the existing codebase, update and improve it
- Excellent communication skills
- Good verbal and written English
