Bittrex, the leading blockchain technology provider and cryptocurrency exchange, is hiring! We are looking for a Security Analyst to work with internal stakeholders to solve their security challenges.

The successful candidate will have a good mix of technical knowledge and a background in Information Security. An Information Security Analyst’s responsibilities include monitoring networks for potential threats, installing software that protects from online vulnerabilities, documenting breaches and reporting issues so they can be adequately handled.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze IT requirements and provide objective advice on the use of IT security requirements
• Work with internal stakeholders to mitigate identified risks.
• Generate weekly report on key Information Security metrics.
• Respond to events and alarms generated by detection software and tools.
• Gather feedback from end-users to identify any gaps.
• Demonstrate a mix of both broad and deep process and/or technical knowledge.
• Possess a combination of troubleshooting, technical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle a mix of disparate tasks.
• Participate in “on-call” duty 1 week per month

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in Information Security
• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or 3+ years’ equivalent technology experience.
• Understanding of endpoint and network security for Windows.
• Understands SIEM and endpoint protection technologies and able to operate monitoring systems
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate, develop partnerships, and work effectively.
• Provide training to employees about proper security practices.
• Knowledge of blockchain technologies is a plus.
