We are looking for a Communications Manager to help us elevate our communications, better support our community, and onboard the next cohort of Helium enthusiasts. You'll drive content creation, run campaigns and competitions, develop educational resources, and make sure we're celebrating the community's achievements around the world.

You love writing and always bring an opinion on how to craft a message. You have experience working on social campaigns, excel at various types of content creation, and bring your own unique creative vision to the role. You hold yourself accountable through metrics and proactively report results.

Your Role

• Develop positioning and communications strategies for the company and Helium ecosystem, including new features, products, partnerships, and community updates.
• Work with agency partners to own and manage the execution of successful PR programs.
• Cultivate new and existing relationships with media and influencers.
• Proactively identify and maintain targeted press lists, proactive pitch opportunities, industry research, and trends.
• Create compelling content including pitches, press releases, bylined articles, and company announcements.
• Manage day-to-day media relations, inbound press requests, and speaking inquiries.
  
  

Requirements

• Experienced as a Communications Manager leading a public relations, political campaign, investor relations, or communications-related team.
• Outstanding communication skills as a writer and speaker. Able to distill thoughts into concise expression.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to the ever-changing start-up environment.
• Strong writing skills to develop pitches, press releases, and company communications.
• Mindful and thoughtful about cultural differences in communicating (we're a truly global project).
• Preference for demonstrated excitement for Web 3.0, crypto, or wireless innovation.
• Passionate about great storytelling and connecting with audiences.
  
  

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 USD
