About Us
BlockchainUnmasked is working to make crypto crime solvable. We aim to streamline cryptocurrency forensic investigations through advanced automation combined with cutting-edge solutions. We work with our investigative partners to dramatically accelerate investigation times and boost success rates in interdiction, recovery, and deterrence.

As we expand our impact in combating financial crime in decentralized networks, we're seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer, LLM and Blockchain Focus to join our team and drive the AI-driven tech behind our high-stakes investigations that protect victims and support global law enforcement.

Role Overview
We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in LLMs to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge AI models for blockchain applications. You will be responsible for building and fine-tuning custom LLMs, integrating them with blockchain data, and optimizing their performance for scalability and efficiency. Your work will directly impact crypto crime investigations, fraud detection, and AI-driven forensic analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and train custom LLMs tailored for blockchain data analysis, anomaly detection, and forensic investigations.

  • Fine-tune existing models (e.g., GPT-4, LLaMA, BERT) on blockchain-specific datasets to enhance their accuracy and relevance.

  • Extract, preprocess, and analyze on-chain and off-chain blockchain data to develop AI-powered insights.

  • Build and maintain efficient machine learning pipelines, ensuring real-time processing, scalability, and reliability.

  • Determine and implement the hardware requirements for running custom LLMs efficiently, including GPU/TPU optimization.

  • Work closely with blockchain engineers, security analysts, and forensic experts to integrate AI-driven intelligence into investigative workflows.

  • Continuously research advancements in LLMs, deep learning, blockchain AI applications, and security intelligence to improve our capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 2+ years of work experience in a fast paced, results driven environment

  • Proven experience in machine learning, deep learning, and NLP, with a strong portfolio of LLM-related projects.

  • Strong expertise in Python and ML libraries/frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers or LangChain.

  • Experience with LLM training and fine-tuning (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, Falcon, BERT).

  • Solid understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and on-chain data analysis (a major plus).

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model optimization techniques.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), big data tools (Spark, Dask, Ray), and distributed computing.

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to tackle complex AI challenges in blockchain security.

  • Collaborative approach to working with multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Strong communication skills for technical presentations and reporting.

Why Join Us?

🚀 Build solutions that protect victims and make crypto crime solvable.

🛠️ Collaborate with industry leading experts and investigators in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

💡 Contribute to industry leading projects at the intersection of blockchain forensics, security, financial crime identification, and law enforcement.

🌍 Enjoy flexible remote work, competitive salary, equity options, and opportunities for professional growth.

💰 Be part of a team that's building solutions that unmask crypto crime across the globe.

What an AI Developer does?

An AI developer is someone who creates and builds artificial intelligence systems

Their responsibilities may include designing and implementing algorithms, creating and training machine learning models, and deploying AI systems to solve practical problems

Additionally, they may be responsible for maintaining and improving existing AI systems, as well as collaborating with other teams or individuals to integrate AI technology into larger systems.
