Tax Compliance Analyst, Malta
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare corporate income tax accounting across EMEA jurisdictions ensuring accurate reporting and compliance;
- Support corporate income tax compliance and indirect tax for EMEA entities, including preparing corporate tax and VAT returns and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders;
- Maintain tax administration tools such as cash tax trackers with a high level of accuracy;
- Prepare and input tax journal entries into the enterprise accounting system;
- Ensuring our tax tools are updated with the quarterly tax calculations;
- Liaise with local and overseas colleagues and external tax services providers with regard to tax filings, tax projects and handling tax queries;
- Keep abreast of rules and regulations on tax across different jurisdictions and understand their implications on the group;
- Conduct research in crypto or digital tax/corporate tax/indirect tax;
- Other ad hoc tasks as requested.
Job Requirements:
- Master in Accountancy or ACCA qualification; additional tax qualification a plus;
- Ideally 3+ years professional work experience gained with a professional tax services firm; any experience in-house is preferred;
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills;
- Able to explain tax issues in precise and simple language;
- Excellent analytical, project management, presentation and interpersonal skills;
- Being able to work independently, managing own workload and projects;
- Extremely detail oriented with an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment;
- Passionate about the growth of digital assets and has a desire to commit a long-term career in the industry;
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, knowledge of other European languages a plus;
- Always has a positive working attitude and willing to take on tasks.
