Your mission

Sitting at the heart of Bitpanda's crypto offering, our Blockchain team takes care of the seamless integration of crypto currencies into our brokerage and white label solution. With over 25 million end users, you’ll be ensuring that everyone can easily deposit, trade and withdraw their crypto assets to generate their own wealth.

What you’ll do

  • Work directly on integrating and maintaining Crypto Nodes and services that interact with various parts of the Crypto ecosystem.
  • Develop clean, scalable and maintainable solutions for high performance backend systems in Python
  • Build event driven architecture hosted on AWS with Kafka.
  • Build strong relationships across various engineering squads and happily discuss topics and challenges.
  • Join a team of highly skilled and eager engineers to collaborate with and hone your skills.

Who you are

  • You have strong python and RestAPI knowledge built up in product based companies. For example a good understanding of type hints and annotations and how to use these features to improve code quality, readability, and maintainability.
  • Experience with using relational or NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB), high level knowledge on API design and various methods of network communication.
  • You are enthusiastic about the cryptocurrency industry and technology, have a good understanding of how popular blockchain networks work.
  • Solid understanding of event driven systems design, like event streams, message brokers (e.g. Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Familiarity with any of the following are huge bonus points: AWS Services, trading/markets, DevOps infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code, AI, smart contracts, Cryptonodes, Web3.
  • You're either already based in Vienna or eager to relocate to Vienna (with our assistance) to join our Blockchain team at Bitpanda HQ.
