We are looking for an experienced CMO to join as part of the Executive Management Team to oversee marketing operations of the company and develop its strategy and vision. You will be in charge of a team of enthusiastic marketing professionals and will direct our marketing efforts towards success.
We are looking for a highly motivated and inquisitive person, passionate about open source software and peer-to-peer technologies. The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience in hiring and leading marketing teams in a startup environment and deep expertise in building and delivering FinTech/crypto products.
Tasks
You will:
- Create and own international go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new products & features together with our content and product manager.
- Plan, develop and execute marketing initiatives including marketing budgets.
- Hire, mentor and lead a global team; promote & build collaboration, accountability, responsibility and team spirit
- Lead the growth marketing campaigns across all audience channels targeting developers and companies interested in blockchains, cryptocurrencies and decentralized applications.
- Track, analyze and improve key metrics: CAC, LTV, and Churn; customer loyalty, customer retention through event tracking
- Use data-driven marketing strategy to identify trends/patterns and opportunities for innovation, and make optimization recommendations across the customer’s journey.
- Manage and implement creative approaches and growth-hacking techniques to attract prospects and boost acquisition of users.
- Review and iterate campaigns with an experimental and analytical approach.
- Monitor community activity, identify the pain points and work cross-functionally to resolve issues.
- Analysing the user experience, identifying and driving potential improvement.
- Researching into the crypto and DeFi market, latest trends and competition to spot opportunities and drive the growth of our business.
- Maximize the brand impact together with our media team through online marketing, public relations, social media, online groups, online and offline events, etc., establishing us as a leading brand in the global DeFi space.
Requirements
- At least 5 years' of experience in B2C as a marketing lead within a FinTech/tech company, ideally focused on global go-to-market strategy and execution
- Expert with data-driven insights and decisions with the ability to perform consumer analysis and competitive intelligence research
- Comfortable with growth marketing, marketing campaigns, viral and social media techniques and strategies
- Smart and conscious individual, with a good academic background and marketing experience ideally coming from the FinTech or Blockchain sector or having a good understanding of Blockchain and willing to learn more;
- You’ve succeeded in a role where you were responsible for scaling acquisition and managing Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and can speak to ways you set strategy, harnessed data and iterated on experiments.
- You understand communications within the blockchain space requires a different approach from the corporate world and most startups.
- Familiar with tools for content production, team collaboration, webinar solutions, web analytics, marketing automation and CRM.
- You’ve marketed or managed a product with a complex conversion funnel where the market was for higher level of sophistication in consumer choice.
- Innovate and set up new campaigns (from scratch), including landing page optimization, keywords, competitors and industry research.
- Experience in building and leading a high performance marketing team.
- You are comfortable diving into data to produce informed strategic recommendations and insights (familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Firebase and Intercom preferred)
- Team player who works best with a global team, and enjoys a fast-paced environment.
