The Brand Marketing team is responsible for driving the brand forward by creating a consistent brand identity and a strong emotional connection with our current and prospective community members in order to:

  • Increase awareness
  • Improve perception
  • Drive organic growth

In this role, you will develop and lead key strategic initiatives, manage and grow a team and deliver on our core business goals. The role will operate cross-functionally - collaborating with and leading teams across the organization. Great ideas are important, but great execution is paramount.

This role is based in New York.

What you’ll do:

  • Own product & consumer marketing calendar, leading the marketing planning and ensuring cross-functional alignment.
  • Drive product marketing strategy – working hand-in-hand with Product to understand every aspect of product/feature updates in order to position and communicate to members and external audiences.
  • Oversee owned channels including social, public.com website, ASO, etc.
  • Manage a team of resources, including cross-functional team members and external partners to execute on campaigns and programs flawlessly.
  • Draw insights from various channels and the ways in which our audience interacts with them, leading us to develop optimized creative.
  • Manage multiple critical and time-sensitive projects simultaneously, optimizing processes (and creating new ones along the way) to drive efficiency and ensure programs are executed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with teams and individuals across the organization to develop top-quality creative. You’ll develop creative briefs with critical information for our creative teams and partners and provide actionable feedback and guidance throughout.
  • Move the needle with our brand, identifying cultural flashpoints and ways in which our brand can authentically place us in the conversation.

Who you are:

  • 8-12 years of experience, in the marketing department of a high-growth start-up, and/or established brand with proven innovation or consumer tech product.
  • Deep experience as a brand builder - positioning, messaging and comms come second nature – you excel at translating product features and benefits into compelling marketing.
  • You’re an expert on our brand, platform, and current/prospective members. You understand the shifting competitive landscape, and our positioning within it.
  • You’re an experienced project manager with the ability to drive initiatives end-to-end with little to no oversight.
  • You’re a cultural connoisseur, and have an innate understanding of what resonates in culture.
  • Excellent written communications skills; you write in a clear and concise >
  • You have a proven track record of working alongside product teams to translate product roadmap into consumer marketing campaigns and announcements.
  • Strong operational skills and leadership abilities.
  • Multiple years of experience managing more junior team members.

Benefits:

  • Generous PTO and sick leave
  • Discounted fitness memberships
  • 401k with 4% company match after 3 months of employment
  • Your choice of gear - from laptop to desk, we got you covered
