The Uniswap Labs team is building products to unlock value through universal exchange. We envision a future where digital economies flourish, and markets are transparent, global, and equitable. Our products – the Uniswap Interface, the Uniswap Mobile App, and the Uniswap Extension – are powered by the Uniswap Protocol. The protocol is the largest onchain marketplace, with billions of dollars in weekly volume across thousands of tokens on Ethereum and 8+ additional chains. When you join Uniswap, you become part of a team that's reshaping the way value flows on the internet. This role is a 6 month contract, requiring 40 hours/week. As we look to expand our on-the-ground presence across APAC we are looking for developer community specialists / brand ambassadors in Japan. Responsibilities: To grow Uniswap via organic and community efforts in country. Also, to continually share product feedback and market intel to drive Uniswap’s growth and success in geo.
Be in the mix, be deep in the local crypto community. Represent Uniswap everywhere — and share market intel back with HQ Serve as representative in Discord in local language, triaging across internal Uniswap Labs teams, spanning support, developer relations, and community Actively advocate for Uniswap in relevant community channels, including Telegram (potentially also Reddit and Signal) and local social platforms to develop a local, loyal and growing community Organize small local meet-ups with clear outcome of educating and promoting Uniswap developer tools Propose joint efforts with relevant crypto projects in the region to increase activation Provide weekly reports on activities, metrics, and next proposals
Requirements of the role:
Background as an engineer with deep technical expertise on trading protocols Self-identified crypto degen who has deep involvement in the crypto and in particular the crypto trading community over several years in this geography Deep understanding of Uniswap protocol and products to the point where they can answer most questions about how to use, value props, comparison to other products/protocols, etc. Deep network within and across projects in local crypto community High integrity and ability to align to Uniswap’s brand and presence standards Fluent in local language(s) and English Willingness to travel to NYC 1x/quarter as needed Willingness to work US ET hours 1-2 days per week.

- Providing regular updates and information to the community about the progress and status of the technology
- Dentifying and addressing any issues or conflicts within the community, and working to resolve them in a positive and constructive manner.
