The Growth UnitThe Growth team is RockawayX’s connective tissue, working across investment and operational divisions to ensure we set a cohesive strategic vision and execute upon it effectively. The team serves as the commercial voice on projects across the business, qualifying and co-designing product and business ideas, and bringing them to market. We oversee the RockawayX brand, support delivered to (investment) portfolio projects, and revenue-generation activities.
- Develop, execute, and own a comprehensive marketing strategy that publicly launches RockawayX Infrastructure as the crypto industry’s leading boutique infra shop. (We’ve got a strong claim to this headline: we built our infrastructure services stealthily to support our investment operations and, in doing so, have become an undisputed performance leader, based on objective Ethereum network data; we support only highly selective crypto networks; we run our own top-secure data centers, we conduct R&D into promising new technologies.)
- Collaborate with CGO & Infrastructure CTO to identify and market effectively to target audiences across different product lines (incl. staking, hardware solutions, data center services). Partners include venture funds, B2B partners (i.e. banks / investment platforms), startups and projects, market making and trading firms, and more.
- Candidate will be responsible for using different marketing levers (direct outreach, content, website, events, social media) to drive brand awareness and lay the foundation for best-in-class sales conversion.
- Oversee product G2M and campaigns: in collaboration with technical team members and researchers, lead marketing of new products, features or special offers.
- Support in development and maintenance of partner / customer pipeline, including by fielding customer / partner referrals from CGO and others across the team, and dependably serve as professional representative of the firm. While marketing (versus sales) is your focus, you communicate our advantages clearly and can team up with others to develop, pitch, and close commercial proposals.
- Working alongside CGO, develop brand identity, and articulate and refine parent company “success headlines.”
- Develop content that furthers brand objectives, highlights winning investments, and RockawayX’s game-changer projects. Distribute it with the goal of activating target audiences.
- Contribute to development of cross-division marketing processes and assets, incl. firm and sub-co website, blogs, thought leadership, social content, collateral for prospective commercial partners, and, potentially, for incubated startups in their ‘pre spin-off’ stages.
- Join regular investment meetings (venture and credit strategies) to develop thorough understanding of our portfolio companies, investment rationale, exposure across sectors and emerging technology clusters, and our wider theses on the industry, so you can identify efforts to translate those insights into distinctive marketing content.
- Foster supportive relationships with portfolio company executives, primarily to develop thought leadership insights and ‘value-add wins’ showcasing our investment and operational advantage.
- Because our operational divisions have been designed to drive value to our portfolio companies, the “VC platform” function at RockawayX is fundamentally one of project management - it is about coordinating our different (Infra, Labs, Growth) teams to deliver unique support. With your ‘marketing hat’ on, help to establish a process for painlessly tracking and amplifying our portfolio support case studies.
- Engage with broader web3 ecosystem to drive RockawayX’s brand and value-accretive relationships.
- You work in the crypto industry presently, and are passionate about the space and its technology / use cases / markets. You are genuinely excited to work in the fastest-moving industry on the planet and appreciate the broad exposure of this seat, at a firm that works with top projects and founders across the space.
- Experience designing and executing on marketing strategies with a measurable impact on brand awareness among target audiences and commercial outcomes.
- Expertise in product marketing, content marketing, and event marketing.
- High energy and ability to work nimbly across projects and functions; the idea of working at a dynamic firm that both invests in and operates businesses excites you!
- Ability and confidence to ask questions to develop your understanding of technical or complex concepts, so you can then articulate them to a range of audiences in a clear and accessible manner.
- Unmatched attention to detail and excellent writing and research skills
- Inquisitive, team player, appreciation of different cultures and personalities, and sense of humor (...this industry is really, really funny.)
- Experience working with a CMS and tools like Airtable / Notion / Medium / Canva.
- Global company, with teams in London, Prague, and Dubai.
- Remote-friendly work environment, but we embrace opportunities to collaborate IRL–either in an office or around industry conferences and events.
- Tight-knit group of curious cats and degens with big ideas and bold, speedy builds.
- Need a computer or tech? We’ll help you get set up right.
- …Got another perk that’s a make or break? Have your people call our people. Seriously though, reach out and we’re all ears for fresh ideas.
