Role:

We're looking for a visionary Creative Director who can inspire, lead, and drive the creation of stunning visual content that communicates our brand's vision and mission. As Creative Director, you will head design and will work closely with the marketing and product teams to ensure that all our outward-facing materials reflect the privacy-first ethos of Aztec.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement creative strategies that align with our company's mission and vision, translating company objectives into a clear and cohesive design strategy
  • Generate unique creative concepts, productions and copy, partnering with marketing, engineering and product to bring them to life.
  • Create and implement branding guidelines that captures the brand voice, including tone and visual
  • Maintain the highest quality creative, brand vision, and messaging consistently across all channels
  • Provide expert advisory and production of creative elements in marketing campaigns and other external-facing communications.

Must Have:

  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience at an agency or on an in-house design team
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Advertising, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Creative Director or similar role, ideally within the tech industry
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating effective advertising campaigns
  • Exceptional leadership and storytelling skills; experience with senior-level stakeholder or client management; ability to drive executive buy-in
  • Desire to create high-quality, consistent design across all of Aztec Labs’s channels
  • Mastery of design tools like Adobe CC and Figma; willingness to be hands-on with creation and execution
  • A deep understanding of marketing, promotion, and advertising principles
  • Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently with tight deadlines
  • Passion and curiosity for crypto and blockchain technology
  • Experience onboarding the right agency partners where necessary

Nice to Have:

  • 2+ years experience in a startup, ideally in a blockchain environment
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles
  • Familiarity with privacy-first or data security concepts
  • Understanding of the Ethereum ecosystem
  • Experience working in a remote and diverse team

Base Salary: $125,000 - $175,000 + equity + additional benefits. The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
