Consensys is the leading blockchain and web3 software company founded by Joe Lubin, CEO of Consensys and Co-Founder of Ethereum. Since 2014, Consensys has been at the forefront of innovation, pioneering technological developments within the web3 ecosystem.

Through our product suite, including the MetaMask platform, Infura, Linea, Diligence, and our NFT toolkit Phosphor, we have become the trusted collaborator for users, creators, and developers on their path to build and belong in the world they want to see.

Whether building a dapp, an NFT collection, a portfolio, or a better future, the instinct to build is universal. Consensys inspires and champions the builder instinct in everyone by making web3 universally easy to use and develop on.

Our mission is to unlock the collaborative power of communities by making the decentralized web universally easy to access, use, and build on.

You’ll get to work on the tools, infrastructure, and apps that scale these platforms to onboard one billion participants and 5 million developers. You’ll be constantly exposed to new concepts, ideas, and frameworks from your peers, and as you work on different projects — challenging you to stay at the top of your game. You’ll join a network of builders that reaches the edge of our ecosystem. Consensys alumni have moved on to become tech entrepreneurs, CEOs, and team leads at tech companies.

Why join the Consensys Accounting Team?

Joining the Accounting team at Consensys means becoming a key player in shaping how financial operations are executed in one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving industries — blockchain and Web3. As the Accountant, Revenue & Digital Assets, you’ll sit at the intersection of crypto-native technologies and enterprise-grade financial systems. This role is essential to ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our month-end close process and financial reporting related to digital assets and revenue recognition.

You’ll be hands-on in pulling reports from Cryptio, collaborating directly with their team to resolve data or reconciliation issues, uploading reconciliations into FloQast, and booking related entries in NetSuite to ensure accuracy. Your attention to detail and comfort working with digital asset data will be critical during monthly closes, audits, and ongoing process improvements. This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of accounting innovation — helping bridge traditional finance and cutting-edge decentralized technologies.

What you’ll do

Month-End Close Responsibilities

  • Reconcile digital asset wallets each month using Cryptio data, ensuring completeness and accuracy across FloQast and NetSuite.
  • Collaborate with the Cryptio team to investigate and resolve data issues.
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to digital assets and revenue in NetSuite.

Audit & Project Work

  • Assist in compiling audit support and responding to auditor queries related to revenue and digital assets.
  • Contribute to projects aimed at creating new or improving existing digital asset and revenue workflows and enhancing audit readiness.
  • Support technical accounting initiatives, particularly around crypto accounting and revenue recognition under US GAAP.

Systems You’ll Use

  • Cryptio (digital asset subledger)
  • NetSuite (ERP)
  • FloQast (close management)
  • Excel (Cryptio exports and working papers)

We’d love it if you brought this to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably with month-end close exposure.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and crypto assets.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite is a plus.
  • Tech-savvy with an appetite to learn crypto-related platforms and tools.
  • A collaborative mindset, proactive, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience at an audit firm or working on external audits (as a junior or senior associate).
  • Experience working with digital asset reconciliation or wallet tracking tools.

Don't meet all the requirements? Don't sweat it. We’re passionate about building a diverse team of humans and as such, if you think you've got what it takes for our chaotic-but-fun, remote-friendly, start-up environment—apply anyway, detailing your relevant transferable skills in your cover letter. While we have a pretty good idea of what we need, we're ready for you to challenge our thinking on who needs to be in this role.

The salary range for US-based candidates only will be determined throughout the interview process depending on experience and skills.

US pay range (not including bonus, equity or other benefits)
$102,000—$144,000 USD

In the rapidly evolving Web3 space, we believe that everyone is a builder. This expansive paradigm requires a range of backgrounds, talents, skills, and experiences to influence and shape the future.
