We are seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to support the Head of Finance in building out the processes, systems, and controls within a rapidly scaling finance department. This role blends traditional finance, crypto-native treasury management, and startup operations to support a fast-moving, globally distributed team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Bringing all accounting and financial reporting in-house from external providers

  • Owning the month-end close, management accounts, and financial reporting in a timely manner

  • Owning all consolidated financial statements across multiple entities.

  • Designing and implementing robust accounting processes, controls, policies, and work papers

  • Managing and developing all systems and processes around AP, AR, month-end, year-end financial reporting, management accounts, tax etc

  • Selecting, implementing, and optimising finance systems and tools that will scale with the business

  • Coordinate with external providers on tax compliance, audits, and regulatory obligations across jurisdictions

  • Develop a deep understanding of crypto accounting standards to provide the management team with actionable insights

We expect you to bring

This role will suit someone who thrives in a scale-up environment and enjoys building rather than inheriting:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

  • Strong technical accounting and reporting background. Experience with US GAAP accounting is a plus. Experience with digital asset accounting a plus, but not essential

  • Experience managing the ERP system end-to-end (QuickBooks a plus)

  • Experience in a scale-up, FinTech, SaaS, or high-growth environment preferred

  • Experience in optimising transfer pricing and multi-jurisdiction accounting is a plus

  • Comfortable being hands-on while also thinking strategically

  • Experience implementing finance systems and setting up processes from scratch

  • Proactive, commercially minded, and confiden,t working closely with founders and senior stakeholders

At Douro Labs, you will take on a high-ownership finance role with direct influence over financial and compliance decisions, working closely with senior leadership on core business initiatives. You will gain hands-on experience managing crypto treasuries, tokens, and on-chain financial flows, operating at the intersection of DeFi, oracle infrastructure, and emerging governance models.

As an early-stage hire, you will help build and scale the finance function, shaping processes, controls, and best practices for a crypto-native organization.
