We’re at an inflection point where crypto is no longer just experimental; it’s actionable. At Inversion, you'll be a pioneer in shaping how blockchain is used to create meaningful impact across industries and proving to the world that, like the Internet, crypto is a technology that most businesses will adopt to remain competitive.

Position Overview:

Inversion Capital is hiring an Investment Associate to lead diligence across Inversion’s portfolio of target acquisitions and participate in acquisition decisions, transaction proceedings, and post-acquisition managerial coordination alongside Inversion’s executive team.

The Investment Associate will be the first line of defense covering financial and strategic due diligence across an array of private companies, concentrated in telecommunications and finance sectors in Latin America.

The Investment Team works closely with the CEO, COO, and Investment Committee to execute Inversion's blockchain "rip-and-replace" strategy across portfolio companies, ensuring that each company’s transition to blockchain infrastructure is executed flawlessly to unlock maximum value.

This role is ideal for an experienced investment analyst or associate with 2-4 years of total experience on the buy and sell side. If you have high agency, curiosity, attention to detail, and a high standard of excellence, please apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute financial due diligence for proprietary and sourced investment opportunities in telecommunications and financial services markets, with a focus on Latin America.
  • Conduct strategic analysis of target companies, including market sizing, competitive landscape assessments, and growth opportunity evaluations.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models (LBO, DCF, operating forecasts) to support valuation, deal structuring, and investment committee presentations.
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the diligence process: prepare diligence requests, interface with target management teams, and synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with external advisors (legal, accounting, technical) and internal stakeholders to ensure comprehensive vetting of operational, financial, and regulatory risks.
  • Partner with Inversion’s executive team to develop transaction memos and present key findings to the Investment Committee.
  • Support negotiation of transaction terms and documentation, including coordination of data room, term sheet analysis, and closing deliverables.
  • Assist in post-acquisition integration planning, working with portfolio company leadership to implement Inversion’s blockchain “rip-and-replace” strategy—identifying synergies, cost‐optimization initiatives, and roadmap milestones.
  • Monitor portfolio company performance post-close: track key operating metrics, help diagnose underperformance, and recommend corrective actions or growth initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management and investors on deal pipeline, portfolio performance, and market trends in relevant sectors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • 2–4 years of private equity, investment banking, or management consulting experience, ideally with exposure to telecommunications, financial services, or Latin American markets.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling (LBO, DCF, M&A accretion/dilution), with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities with a track record of synthesizing complex data into concise investment recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of drafting clear investment memos and presenting to senior stakeholders and investment committees.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity, initiative, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Prior exposure to blockchain or crypto-enabled business models preferred, with an understanding of how decentralized technologies can drive operational efficiencies.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish preferred, with the ability to navigate cross-border diligence and communicate effectively with Latin American management teams.
  • Team player with solid project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (primarily within the Americas) to conduct on-site diligence and meet with portfolio company leadership.

Compensation:

Inversion offers a competitive compensation package, including base salary and discretionary. The role provides significant potential for asymmetric upside, especially for individuals who are passionate about driving innovation in the blockchain and investment space.

Why Inversion Capital:

At Inversion Capital, you will play a key role in transforming industries through blockchain technology and private equity. This is an opportunity to work at the cutting edge of finance and technology, where your contributions will directly impact both the operational and financial success of portfolio companies. If you are a strategic, execution-driven leader who thrives in high-growth environments and is excited about the potential for blockchain to reshape traditional business models, we encourage you to apply.
