About the Role:
As Senior Product Manager – Card Payments, you will own and execute the strategy for Unlimit’s payment processing infrastructure, which powers global acquiring, transaction lifecycle management, and wallet operations. Your mission is to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-performing payment solutions that meet complex business requirements and evolving regulatory standards. This role requires deep expertise in card scheme rules (Visa, Mastercard), wallet architecture, and settlement logic, combined with a strong product mindset to drive innovation in areas like AI-powered optimization and processing automation. You will work closely with engineering, compliance, and finance teams to ensure Unlimit remains a leader in payment technology.

Key Responsibilities

    • Payments Strategy & Execution
    • - Define and execute a core processing strategy, ensuring seamless, secure, and efficient transaction flows.
      -Own the roadmap for:
      - Authorization, capture, refund, and chargeback logic.
      -Multi-entity, multi-currency wallet structures and settlement processes.
      -Integration of card scheme mandates and compliance-driven changes.
      - Network tokenization and recurring transaction management.
      - Performance and resilience improvements to support high-volume, global acquiring.
    • Introduce AI-driven capabilities to optimize approval rates, detect anomalies, and enhance fraud prevention.
    • Governance & Compliance
    • - Ensure strict compliance with card scheme mandates, PCI DSS, PSD2, and regional regulations.
      - Stay ahead of scheme bulletins and regulatory changes, proactively embedding them into product design.
    • Innovation & Advanced Features
    • - Collaborate with AI teams to develop predictive analytics for transaction routing and fraud detection.
      - Explore opportunities for automation in reconciliation, settlement validation, and dispute handling.
    • Collaboration & Influence
    • -Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure business readiness for new mandates and features.
      - Act as the go-to subject matter expert for processing flows and card scheme rules across the organization.
    • Monitoring & Optimization
    • - Define and track KPIs (e.g., authorization success rate, settlement accuracy, processing latency).
      - Drive continuous optimization through data analytics and AI-powered insights.

Required Skills & Experience

    • 5+ years of product management experience in payments, acquiring, or core processing systems.
    • Strong expertise in:
    • - Card scheme rules and mandates (Visa, Mastercard).
      - Wallet architecture and multi-entity settlement models.
    • Familiarity with IC++ pricing and scheme fee structures.
    • Proven ability to create detailed technical and functional specifications.
    • Experience with AI/ML use cases in payments (fraud prevention, predictive optimization).
    • Strong experience working with agile delivery frameworks (e.g., SAFe, Scrum).
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

    • Nice-to-Have
    • Knowledge of network tokenization, risk management systems, and reconciliation automation.
    • Exposure to multi-region acquiring environments (LATAM, EU, Asia).
    • Understanding of regulatory frameworks (PCI DSS, PSD2, AML).
