The front-office Managing Director of BitGo Europe will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic vision and operational success of the organization. This position requires a seasoned professional, who reports to the parent company in the US and who provides strategic leadership, manages key customer relationships, oversees critical operations and strategic partnerships, and drives the company's financial performance to ensure that the company remains competitive and keeps pace with market and regulatory trends.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan aligned with the parent company's goals, ensuring the subsidiary's continued success in the digital assets industry, including goal setting and guidance toward achieving revenue targets.
- Lead the Front Office units (Sales, Product and Operations). Mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of compliance, accountability, and performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high-profile clients. Act as a trusted advisor, delivering tailored crypto custody solutions. Drive new business and maintain client satisfaction during critical business phases.
- Ensure successful execution of projects and deals. Oversee pricing, negotiations, and execution. Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to deliver optimal outcomes.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes. And leverage expertise to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within the German digital assets market. Explore strategic partnerships and initiatives to expand the company's presence.
- Collaborate on company-wide strategic initiatives. Provide regular and comprehensive reports on any emerging opportunities or challenges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred).
- Experience in a leadership role 5+ years within the financial services sector.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and execute high-level deals.
- Proficiencies in the finance industry in custodian, securities or investment business, ideally in digital assets/cryptocurrency markets, with noticeable problem-solving and self-starter skills.
- Excellent communication (in English and German) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with regulators and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach to business leadership.
