What we are looking for … an experienced and driven OTC Trader to oversee our OTC desk activities. Your mission will be to identify and capitalize on trading opportunities, manage risk effectively, execute trades efficiently, and maintain strong relationships with counterparties and liquidity providers.
Job Description
Support the growth of all OTC trading activities within the APAC region, with a specific focus on high-touch and automated OTC services.
Identify and capitalize on new trading opportunities to drive volume and revenue for the OTC desk and liquidity systems.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with counterparties and liquidity providers.
Execute trades efficiently, providing competitive pricing and liquidity solutions to OTC counterparties.
Enhance trading strategies by understanding clients' liquidity needs and optimizing execution services accordingly.
Collaborate with developers to automate and streamline trading processes for increased efficiency.
Address trade-related inquiries both internally and externally, ensuring seamless execution and client support.
Work closely with internal teams, including Trading, Product, Technology, Operations, and Legal, to enhance institutional trading experiences.
Provide market insights and feedback to refine product offerings and ensure continuous improvement in trading solutions.
Work with Sales/Commercial team to strengthen existing relationships to drive increased trading volumes and deepen engagement with institutional clients.
Background and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a Quantitative field.
Experience in trading within Asian traditional financial markets; crypto trading experience or interest is a strong plus.
Prior experience managing counterparty relationships in high-volume, multi-product, and multi-geography trading environments.
Strong understanding of HFT and/or market-making businesses is a significant advantage.
Proficiency in analyzing and working with tabular data to drive trading decisions.
Experience in process optimization and automation is highly desirable.
Deep interest and curiosity in blockchain technology, crypto, and digital assets.
Proven track record in price discovery, negotiation, risk management, and execution best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and succinctly.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach, capable of independently driving trading strategies and growth initiatives within a team-oriented framework.
Strong ability to develop and enhance OTC and liquidity solutions for institutional market participants.
Solid understanding of electronic trading systems, liquidity dynamics, OMS/EMS, and API-based trading solutions.
Ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure in fast-paced trading environments.
Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to influence, listen, and learn from peers.
Comfortable working in a highly dynamic, cross-functional environment to align stakeholders and achieve trading objectives.
