What you’ll do as a Business Development Manager at Syndr:
As a BD Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of Syndr in Korea. Your responsibilities will include working towards driving platform growth via user onboarding and acquisition, partnerships, industry networking and relationship development. You will be responsible for expanding our user base, fostering strategic relationships, and driving business opportunities to propel our platform's success.
Responsibilities:
User Acquisition and Onboarding:
Identify and build relationships with local KOLs/influencers/communities, projects and other potential partners to promote Syndr in the local market to achieve user and trading volume growth.
As a representative of Syndr, to maintain good relationships with KOLs and marketing channels to achieve long-term cooperation
Be responsible for the execution and performance of KOL marketing strategy, track and analyze channel cooperation results and make adjustments to ensure optimal performance and maximum ROI.
Keep abreast of local industry developments, trends and competitor movements and strategize corresponding actions
Proactively reach out to retail and institutional traders, educate them about our platform's features and benefits, and onboard them as users.
Identify and target potential clients, including individual traders, trading firms, hedge funds, and other financial institutions, to expand our user base.
Partnership Development:
Identify and establish partnerships with leading trading and educational communities, forums, and platforms to enhance our brand presence and drive user acquisition.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop joint marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and educational materials to support partnerships.
Industry Networking:
Attend crypto meetups, conferences, and industry events to represent our exchange, network with industry professionals, and stay updated on the latest market trends and developments.
Identify potential business opportunities, strategic collaborations, and industry partnerships through networking and relationship building.
Relationship Management:
Nurture and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including traders, industry influencers, trading communities, and potential partners.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, product, and operations, to ensure effective communication and alignment of strategies to drive business growth.
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct market research and analysis to identify new market segments, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities.
Stay updated on industry regulations, market dynamics, and emerging trends to provide strategic insights and recommendations for business development initiatives.
✅ Requirements
University graduate with strong experience in business development, partnerships, or growth functions within a tech/crypto/startup
In-depth knowledge of affiliate marketing in the industry
You must be based out of South Korea, preferably in Seoul
Experience with a wide range of growth/business development topics; you don’t need to have experience with all, but should be able to figure any out
Track record of creating a tangible impact on key metrics, and be ready to give examples
Experience negotiating and managing partnership agreements and contracts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
Excellent problem-solving skills - you should be able to think through solutions from first principles and find solutions
Excellent organizational skills - you are known for tracking tasks (big and small), making sure nothing falls between the cracks, and everyone is informed
Entrepreneur/ownership mentality - thinking big, taking calculated risks, driven by market feedback, willingness to work extended hours and do whatever it takes
Exceptional networking skills and the ability to represent Syndr professionally at industry events and engage with key stakeholders.
Flexibility to travel and attend meetups, conferences, and events as required.

Understanding of DeFi protocols, Trading, and the crypto industry
Willingness, aptitude and curiosity to understand the fundamentals of blockchain technologies and DeFi trading
Experience working at a crypto exchange(CeX/DeX)
You have prior trading experience(in Traditional markets or crypto/DeFi), with knowledge of derivative products like futures, options, and perpetuals
