In the United States, we have a flexible hybrid work policy for employees who live within 30 miles of our office headquartered in New York City. Employees within the New York Metropolitan area are expected to work from the NYC office twice a week, unless there is a job-specific requirement to be in the office every workday. Employees outside of this area are considered part of our remote-first workforce. We believe our hybrid approach for those near our NYC office increases productivity through more in-person collaboration where possible.
The Department: Consumer Experience
The Role: Senior Engineer, Design Systems
As a Senior UI Engineer, you will work closely with our design team and UI engineering teams to build a world-class design system and component library that enables our teams to quickly deliver amazing experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, build, add features, test, and document offerings from our Hubble Design System libraries across all client platforms.
- Build and maintain design system components using React and React Native.
- Build efficient and reusable UI components and architect reliable, performant, and maintainable solutions. Review other software engineersâ code for correctness, >
- Perform complex cross-team component migrations.
- Mentor engineers on proper component usage, especially with regards to improving accessibility.
- Provide technical input and knowledge to the planning, design, and requirements process for new products and features.
Minimum Qualifications:
- You have at least 4 years of experience building consumer-facing web applications at scale.
- You are comfortable working with JavaScript/Typescript and ideally have strong experience in React.
- You have knowledge of web best practices and stay informed about innovations in the web industry.
- You have a strong understanding of UX/UI concepts and a demonstrated record of design and product sensibility.
- The ability to work closely across teams (and time-zones) and manage dependencies.
- A customer and product-focused mindset, with the ability to make well-reasoned tradeoffs between speed and quality.
- The ability to adapt and handle multiple competing priorities in collaboration with peers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ideally have experience with React Native (or interest in learning!).
- Experience as a user of crypto products.
- Experience with headless component libraries like Radix UI and styling libraries like Emotion and Tailwind.
- Experience implementing animations and transitions.
- Experience with CI/CD processes, including Github Actions.

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $152,000 - $213,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidateâÂÂs compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
