About The Role:

In this role, you will work closely with the search and data platform teams to devise and implement innovative strategies for intelligent search, component discovery, social discovery, social recommendation, and development component discovery. You will be a leader in applying the latest machine learning and data science techniques to accelerate our products. You will help analyze available data (traditional, social, blockchain, content) and work closely with engineering and product to devise tools or tool enhancements based on the available data.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Analyzing current available data to determine what product innovations are possible
• Collaborating with the data platform team to ensure data is available to ML and other systems for easy consumption and processing
• Designing data insight systems that will be compatible with the developer and user facing software being built in the Discovery platform
• Implementing relevant APIs, interfaces and data access points
• Collaborating with product, engineering, security and devops to ensure solutions are efficient, cost-optimized, maintainable, scalable and secure

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields is a must
• Deep understanding of data insight techniques and technologies including Machine Learning
• An understanding of how ML systems are run in production
• Sufficient programming experience to build APIs, simple scripts and other programming required to expose your work to engineering teams
• Strong communication and remote friendly working skills

We'd Love If You Have:

• Experience with search, discovery or social applications.
• Familiarity with Ethereum development and related technologies (web3.js, ethers.js, etc)
• Familiarity with other crypto or blockchain technologies
• Experience working at a startup

Here’s What Our Interview Process Looks Like:

Depending on calendar availability, from the first stage to the final stage, we do our best to keep the entire process to under three weeks. Our interviews take place via Zoom and typically consists of the following stages:

• Internal Recruiter Call (30 to 45 minutes)
• Meet with the Hiring Manager (30-45 minutes)
• Technical Interviews (4 x 60 minutes)
• Pagoda Values Interview (30 to 45 minutes)

This is a fully remote role, so that your timezone matches or overlaps with our leadership for this role, you’ll ideally be located in North/South America/Europe/Africa.
