Console is on a mission to help Web3 communities build, grow, and thrive. The Console app is a chat platform designed specifically for decentralized organizations — think Web3 Discord. At Console, we’re building a place for leaderless organizations to focus and take action.
We are a remote friendly-company — with our headquarters in New York and a strong commitment to ensuring people can do great work here and thrive without having to live near an office. This role is open to candidates across the U.S.
Briefly, about the role:
- We're looking to bring on a React developer (or comparable component based UI framework) who can help us build and maintain the Console platform.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Build a high-quality, secure, robust and functional UI
- Collaborate with our smart contract engineer to integrate Clarity smart contracts into the front-end of the app
- Own your code from design through deployment and into operation, shipping often to get actionable feedback from the team and users
- Contribute critical thinking and creative brainstorming toward building products that serve our Web3 communities
- Work cross-functionally with other members in the Stacks ecosystem to collaborate and share knowledge
What we're looking for:
- Proficiency in backend development (e.g. Node/JS, Python, Go, Rust, etc.)
- Good understanding and comfort with storage / caching solutions ranging from SQL databases (e.g. Postgres) to NoSQL systems (e.g. Redis)
- Experience with typed JavaScript (ideally TypeScript)
- You've developed and shipped consumer-facing products using component-based UI frameworks
- You’re familiar with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security and usability
- Deep curiosity to learn and stay on the bleeding edge of NFTs, DAOs, DeFi and Web 3.0
- Passion for building delightful consumer experiences
- Candidates who are extremely self motivated
Nice to haves:
- Experience contributing to open source projects
- Experience building a real-time chat client
- Experience building decentralized apps and storage systems like IPFS or Arweave
Why Console?
- All-star founding team; experience founding 4 startups and 3 widely adopted consumer apps, one currently valued at over $3 billion
- Fully funded and backed by Trust Machines, our parent company
- Competitive comp package (salary + equity/token)
- Flexibility to work from anywhere
