Position Overview:
We are searching for a highly motivated Data Engineer who is looking for a full-time position. This role is open to remote work as our teams are globally distributed. In this role, you must be comfortable working independently and autonomously while establishing a cadence of timely delivery with high-quality work.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Designing and developing data intensive applications
- Automating repeatable processes with solutions that are robust, configurable and scalable
- Integrating real-time data pipelines to acquire/distribute data within the Blockdaemon estate
- Managing and maintaining a Big Data ecosystem
- Deploying solutions in AWS, GCP and other cloud technologies
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills and Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology preferred
- Expert level experience in one of the following programming languages - Java, Scala, Python or Go
- Expert level SQL and data warehousing knowledge
- Highly proficient in building data intensive applications
- Experience working with real-time streaming and messaging systems
- Wide experience with relational and non-relational database technologies (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, etc.)
- Strong ability to write reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Experienced in CI/CD development process
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and Terraform
- Knowledge of Cryptocurrencies preferred
- Knowledge working with cloud infrastructure technology (AWS, GCE, Azure, etc.)
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
- Works well in a fast-paced environment and can pivot from projects as needed
