Bittrex, the premier U.S. blockchain trading platform, seek a Software Engineer in Test.Founded by three cybersecurity engineers in 2014, the mission of Bittrex is to catalyze advancement of the blockchain industry by fostering innovation and incubating new and emerging technology.

We are looking for a Frontend QA Engineer to work on a small team helping to ensure our product ships with high quality and confidence. This is your opportunity to do testing the right way and work with software engineers who value a high degree of collaboration and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing and executing the testing of our advanced financial services application. You will need to learn and understand our product at a high level of detail and collaborate with internal teams in the execution of their primary responsibilities, including:

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual tests and test data
  • Review and analyze results of test cases and scenarios
  • Analyze failures and collaborate with Software Engineers for root cause analysis
  • Drive efficiencies to improve process and technical implementations
  • Prepare documentation to report status and summarize test results
  • Communicate with internal teams / customers on specific application issues
  • Prioritize QA issues and facilitate issue resolution
  • Work with product or project managers to establish timelines for timely completion of QA elements
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers and other test engineers to produce high quality products
  • Develop and maintain QA guidelines and process documentation
  • Understand and convert existing manual test cases into automated test cases leveraging existing test infrastructure
  • Find creative solutions to ambiguous problems

Required skills:

These skills are essential for success in this position:

  • Minimum 3 years QA experience on web applications in multi-application production environments
  • Experience in multiple test methodologies, for example, regression testing, ad hoc testing, feature testing, security testing, user interface testing, integration testing, performance testing, user acceptance testing, etc.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Proven experience created automated test cases using C# or Java.
  • Proficient experience working with Selenium, Jest, and SpecFlow
  • Proficient experience with JavaScript DOM (React and TypeScript experience are a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
