At Mangopay, youâll be part of a supportive, diverse team committed to building scalable solutions and driving change in the fintech space.Job Description Weâre seeking an entrepreneurial and visionary Business Development Leader to lead Mangopayâs go-to-market strategy in the Web3, blockchain, and crypto space. In this highly strategic role, youâll own our go-to-market approach for the crypto space, identifying key growth opportunities, building strategic alliances, and unlocking new revenue streams. Youâll be the bridge between traditional and decentralized finance - helping Mangopay become the payment infrastructure of choice in the emerging Web3 economy. This role reports directly to the VP of Sales and will play a key role in shaping our commercial success in decentralized finance and blockchain ecosystems. Key Responsibilities
Identify, engage, and close strategic partnerships with crypto-native companies, blockchain infrastructure providers, NFT platforms, DeFi protocols, exchanges, DAOs, and other Web3 stakeholders. Lead end-to-end deal execution - from market research and pipeline development to negotiation and integration. Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to design crypto-native payment solutions that are scalable, secure, and regulatory-ready. Stay ahead of market trends in decentralized finance, token economies, digital wallets, and blockchain payments to inform strategic priorities. Act as Mangopayâs ambassador in the Web3 ecosystem - attending industry events, publishing thought leadership, and engaging with the Crypto community. Provide strategic insights and feedback to internal stakeholders to help shape Mangopayâs roadmap for blockchain and crypto-enabled services. Champion this new vertical internally, setting the foundation for the wider sales and support organization to follow.
What We're Looking For
7+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic sales in Fintech or Payments, with at least 2+ years focused on blockchain, crypto, or Web3. Strong deal-making background, with a proven track record of forming and scaling high-impact partnerships. In-depth knowledge of the crypto landscape - including blockchain protocols, DeFi, NFTs, wallets, and digital asset platforms. A well-established network in the Web3 and crypto ecosystem. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams behind strategic goals. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, innovative environment with a high degree of autonomy. A strong passion for blockchain technologies and their potential to reshape the financial system. A strategic mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity and operating with autonomy in fast-moving environments.
Bonus Points
Experience in regulatory or compliance-sensitive sectors within Crypto or Payments. Familiarity with tokenomics, smart contracts, L1/L2 chains, and interoperability solutions. Previous experience in a high-growth Fintech or Web3 startup.
