What is Menyala Menyala is a Venture Studio headquartered in Singapore, with startups launched around the world. We bring together builders, ideas, network and capital to build disruptive ventures. What is the role? As a Legal & Strategic Operations Intern, you will assist with legal, financial, and operational tasks to support the creation and growth of new ventures. Responsibilities We are looking for a Legal & Strategic Operations Intern to support our venture-building process through legal, financial, and operational execution. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with our finance, legal, and operations teams, gaining hands-on experience in how ventures are structured and scaled. The internship scope is twofold: 1. Legal & Financial Operations
Assist in organizing and reviewing legal documents, including NDAs, business contracts, and investment agreements. Support new venture setup by analyzing and organizing legal and financial documents for entity formation. Maintain cap tables, update internal databases, and track key operational and financial metrics. Coordinate with external corporate secretaries, legal counsel, accounting firms, and financial service providers. Assist with compliance tracking and regulatory requirements related to venture formation and fundraising.
- Investment & Fundraising Support
Support due diligence processes by organizing financial and legal materials for potential investors. Assist in preparing reports, investor updates, and presentations for fundraising efforts. Help manage contracts, vendor relationships, and financial operations to ensure smooth execution. Contribute to developing operational frameworks and best practices for early-stage ventures.
Attributes We are looking for Legal & Strategic Operations Intern with the following:
A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in legal and financial matters. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Basic understanding of legal, financial, and investment concepts related to startups. Interest in venture building, startups, and early-stage fundraising. Background in law, finance, business, or a related field preferred, but open to diverse candidates with relevant skills.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in venture creation, legal structuring, and fundraising operations while working closely with experienced venture builders, investors, and operators. As part of our 6-month Studio Apprenticeship Program, starting from end of May, you’ll take ownership of key projects, deepen your understanding of legal and strategic operations, and see firsthand how these areas contribute to the success of a growing startup.
