Working at Wintermute 

Strategy & Operations is a team in the COO office, which leads high-impact strategic and operational initiatives that often require cross-functional coordination.

Reporting to the Head of S&O, the S&O Associate will help the team design and implement a varied set of projects that will help the company achieve its strategic goals. As an S&O associate, you will have exposure to several different topics and areas, including process optimization, go-to-market, ventures, legal, finance, talent acquisition, field marketing and more. We are looking for someone who knows or is deeply interested in the crypto market and is excited to make a big impact at Wintermute. 

This role is not about high-level strategy design. Instead, we are looking for a hands-on, practical team member who will be ready to do whatever might be needed to help the company grow.

Required Skills

    • BSc/MSc (or equivalent) in Business/Economics/Finance or any related degree
    • 1-3 years experience working in a high-performance, dynamic and high-growth environment in a management consulting, investment banking, start-up/scale-up or similar.
    • Strong problem-solving and project-management skills
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - the role requires a lot of interaction with various teams and it is very important to be able to communicate effectively with them.
    • Willingness, aptitude and curiosity to understand the fundamentals of blockchain technologies, algorithmic trading and liquidity provision are crucial
    • Experience with MS Office and Google Suite

Preferred Skills

    • Professional experience working in a similar role in either a crypto or a fintech firm.
    • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and scripting languages (e.g. Python) 
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, DataStudio)
