BlockFi is looking for a Senior Manager/ Manager of Corporate Development & Strategy to join our growing team!

About Your Team

As a Manager / Senior Manager on the Corporate Development & Strategy team, you will have significant exposure to senior leaders across the organization and serve key roles in driving inorganic growth, investing in early stage businesses, leading fundraising and IPO readiness, and developing business strategies that optimally allocate capital. Your Mission

  • Develop a deep understanding of BlockFi’s businesses, their key drivers and roadmaps to enhance decision making on key initiatives
  • Develop deep cross-functional partnerships with key stakeholders in retail and institutional product, security, operations, marketing, legal, people and finance
  • Lead M&A end-to-end - inorganic growth strategies, market landscapes, outreach, financial modeling, diligence, negotiation, close and integration
  • Lead venture investments end-to-end - investment theses, diligence, IC recommendations, portfolio engagement and reporting
  • Own creation of financial models, decks and documents to support fundraising and capital markets efforts
  • Identify, evaluate and develop build/partner/buy strategies for potential new business opportunities that accelerate BlockFi’s vision
  • Serve as an all-rounder for ad-hoc analyses/recommendations and M&A/VC market insights proactively and in response to senior management needs
  • Scale the Corporate Development & Strategy function as BlockFi grows, attracting and developing amazing talent

Your Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience in M&A, investing, strategy, investment banking, management consulting or other similar roles
  • Demonstrated experience driving acquisitions, investments and/or fundraises from start to finish
  • Proven ability to synthesize information, generate insights and effectively communicate with executives
  • Proficient in financial modeling, valuation analyses, research, market sizing, memo writing and slide building
  • Possess a diverse toolkit including critical thinking, an analytical mindset, keen attention to detail, creative thinking and resourcefulness
  • Enjoy building strong and lasting cross functional relationships
  • Excited to roll up your sleeves, jump in, shape direction and deliver outcomes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience developing and mentoring team members
  • Knowledge of or strong interest in blockchain, crypto and web3
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and/or MBA preferred but not required
